VISION.

Villa Borealis is the home of Nordic Visions and is a CREATIVE CENTER FOR DEVELOPMENT, inviting individuals, groups, businesses and organisations for a new experience of growth and insights.

HOW.
Villa Borealis is made to inspire new thoughts. Our focus is people meeting people and strengthening their creativity and opening up for new vision. We are high touch – low tech.

Nordic Visions often apply untraditional tools. Our work is focused on the goal, and we make sure the processes feel safe, inspiring, challenging and fun. This is what Villa Borealis is made to provide, as we are supported by the raw and intense nature and the warm and enthusiastic local community of this extreme north.

Situated in the Arctic directly on the Barents Sea, Villa Borealis is opening both directly to the roaring ocean and to the calm old mountains of the Varanger Peninsula. The Northern Lights and Midnight Sun are invited into the generous spaces of the house by ceiling to floor windows giving you the feeling of the outside together with the safety and warmth of being indoors.

FOR WHOM:

WORKSHOPS.

The workshop rooms are unique and unusual, to inspire new ways of thinking. We encourage using all our senses and involving the heart and soul into the work of the brain. The maximum group size is 16 persons.

MEETINGS.

Villa Borealis can also accommodate traditional meetings. We are not using a lot of powerpoint presentations, and encourage groups using other tools to be creative and get inspiration. We do not provide a lot of technical equipment. Our favourite meeting table is round and seats 12 for good talks.

EXHIBITIONS and happenings

Villa Borealis has excellent rooms for exhibitions, 3 – 4 separate spaces that are flooded in natural light all day and night. The space offer an open “avant garde”. atmosphere. Our gallery is directly connected to and can be used together with the Gallery of Arctic Glass Studio on the ground floor.

Villa Borealis has good rooms for informal meetings and arrangements for bigger groups not needing to sit around tables. We can receive tourist groups of 1 – 2 busses (up to 100 in the whole house).

GUEST STUDIO

Part of our rooms can be used as a studio, and visiting artists are invited to be inspired by all the light and the impressions of our area. We are offering accommodation at Berlevag Pension, close by.
